Miami’s position on the ocean makes it a great place for seafood lovers. That’s no secret. What you might not know, however, is that we’re closing in on one of the very best occasions to eat seafood in Miami: the Deering Seafood Festival.
The 2021 Deering Seafood Festival, which happens to mark the event’s 16th anniversary, is scheduled for October 24. The fun goes down at the Deering Estate—the former home of Charles Deering, an industrialist preservationist, environmentalist, art collector, and philanthropist—which you can find at 16701 SW 72nd Ave.
So, just what does this mouth-watering event entail? Here’s how the Deering Estate’s official website sums it up:
“The award-winning Deering Seafood Festival is a family-friendly event, celebrating nature’s beauty and bounty, filled with plenty of fresh seafood, chef demos, live entertainment and activities for the kids. The Chef’s Table on the Bay will make its debut in 2021 as a prelude to the Seafood Festival, featuring a 3-course dining experience where chefs will demonstrate how to prepare the meal, which will then be paired with select wines and cocktails.”
This event is free to attend for Deering Estate Members. Non-member prices, meanwhile, range from $7–30.
Here’s a breakdown of the ticket options:
- Adult (ages 15+) Advanced Ticket: $20
