Good news, racing fans.
The 2021 United States Grand Prix is just around the corner and, after last year’s race was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all signs point to a truly memorable experience this year.
While many of the details surrounding this high-speed event are still up in the air, quite a bit of information—including details on United States Grand Prix tickets–is already available.
Here’s what we know at this stage.
Everything We Know So Far About the 2021 United States Grand Prix
When is the 2021 United States Grand Prix?
The 2021 United States Grand Prix is scheduled for the weekend of October 22-24.
Practices 1 and 2 will go down on October 22, while practice 3 is on October 23. The qualifying race will also occur on the 23, and the big race will finally happen on the 24 from 3:00 – 5:00 pm local time.
The event will also feature two concerts, as 21 Pilots perform on October 22, and Billy Joel takes the stage on the 23.
Where is the 2021 United States Grand Prix?
The 2021 United States Grand Prix will go down at the Circuit of the Americas in beautiful Austin, Texas.
The 5.513km track opened in 2012, and is popular among racing fans. Here’s how the Formula 1 website describes it:
If the corners at COTA seem familiar, they should be. Turns 3 through 6 look not dissimilar to Silverstone’s high-speed run through Maggotts/Becketts or the S Curves at Suzuka, while Turns 12 through 15 mimic Hockenheim’s stadium section. Meanwhile, the uphill run into wide, wide Turn 1 – hey, everything’s bigger in Texas, right? – has provided some fine overtaking action in the track’s short life.
Who’s Driving at the 2021 United States Grand Prix?
The 2021 F1 lineup features a number of high-profile drivers, including five-time 2021 Grand Prix winner Max Verstappen of the Netherlands and four-time winner Lewis Hamilton of the United Kingdom, as well as Lando Norris of the United Kingdom, Valtteri Bottas of Finland, and Sergio Perez of Mexico.

While tickets initially sold out, Circuit of the Americas is making space for an additional 20,000 fans.
“We have sold out for the capacity that we would normally prepare for,” COTA chairman Bobby Epstein told Autosport. “But because we have time, we’re actually preparing infrastructure and adding bridges to cross the track, to open up new areas of the circuit that we haven’t previously utilised.
“We’re going to go from sold out, to not sold out, to sold out again. We hope to put some more tickets on sale in a month.
“It should allow for another 20,000 plus.”
Single-day tickets start at just $49, while three-day general admission tickets start at $269. All tickets include access to the Germania Insurance Super Stage Festival Lawn for a concert from Twenty One Pilots on Friday, October 22, and Billy Joel on Saturday, October 23.
