How to Eat like Drake in Toronto

Drake loves and promotes Toronto. That is, after all, why we call him the “6ix God.” He always shouts out the city in his songs and he even referenced it in his album titled Views From the 6. So, when Drake is in the city, you can bet that he hits up some cool places to eat.
Would you like to eat like the 6ix God himself? Well, we’ve rounded up eight places he’s connected to—whether through public sightings or his music.

If you’re in the mood for shisha and good music, Habibiz Cafe is the place for you.
Habibiz Cafe was mentioned in several of Drake’s songs, including Portland, and can be spotted in his music video for Started From The Bottom.
Habibiz Cafe is located at 1939 Kennedy Road in Scarborough.
Sotto Sotto is an upscale Italian restaurant that offers Pennete Via Frattina (smoked salmon and asparagus in rose sauce), Scaloppine Di Pollo Ai Funghi Selvatici (Chicken scaloppini with wild mushrooms) and more.
Drake mentions Sotto Sotto in his song Pound Cake/Paris Morton Music with Jay-Z. He has also posted photos of himself dining in it on Instagram.

Calling all beer-drinkers! King Taps is your beer paradise, with over 50 beers on tap. From lager to Pilsner and everything in between, you won’t run out of choices here!
King Taps also serves Bang Bang Shrimp, Chicken Tacos, Prawn and Pesto Pizza and more.
Drake has been spotted at King Taps on several occasions. You can check it out at 100 King St W.
If Joso’s looks familiar, that’s because it’s featured on the cover of Drake’s album, Take Care.
The upscale seafood eatery has a menu every seafood lover will appreciate, with items such as Shrimp Marinara, Grilled Octopus and Smoked Trout Salad.
Joso’s is located at 202 Davenport Rd.
Lee is a restaurant owned by Drake’s chef friend, Susur Lee.
Drake has been spotted dining in the restaurant and visiting his good friend. If you scroll down his Instagram, you’ll likely see a few snaps of Drake with Mr. Lee.
The menu is Asian and French inspired. Some dishes include Cheeseburger Spring Rolls and Top Chef Curry Roasted Chicken.

You might recognize The Real Jerk from the “Work” music video that Drake did with Rihanna. It’s one of Drake’s favorite spots in the city for Caribbean foods.
The Real Jerk serves Chicken Roti, Goat Roti and of course, Jerk Chicken.

With a name like 416 Snackbar, it’s no surprise that Drake has been spotted at this Toronto restaurant.
416 Snackbar is all about Toronto. The menu aims to characterize the diversity of the city and has items such as Falafel Doubledown , Trinidadian Doubles and Korean Fried Chicken.
