How to Have Your Most Magical Holiday Ever in Orlando

With all its theme parks, Orlando is a pretty magical place any time of the year, so watching the whole city come alive with holiday lights, shows and displays is something to behold. If you’re looking for the ultimate Orlando Christmas experience, these three spots should top your list.

Walt Disney World Resort

No one does Christmas quite like Disney! Very Merriest After Hours, which runs on select nights throughout the holidays, is your chance to watch Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks show and see your favourite characters in Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.

Don’t miss the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, where you’ll be surrounded by holiday recipes and traditions from around the world. Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios will also be decked out in holiday decor.

LEGOLAND Florida Resort

LEGOLAND may not be the first place you think about visiting during the holidays, but the park actually puts on amazing festivities that both children and adults love. For starters, there’s a giant 30-foot-tall LEGO tree with lights that dance along to holiday music. There are also stage shows, including the popular A Very Merry Mix-Up.

Guests can also enjoy character meet-and-greets with LEGO Gingerbread Man and LEGO Santa. At the Holiday Village Postal Service, children can write letters to LEGO Santa and watch as they’re delivered through digital screens.

Universal Orlando Resort

Remember the Christmas scenes in the Harry Potter movies? There was always something so appealing about them. Now, you can experience the magic for yourself at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Hogwarts Castle lights up for the holidays and festive decor fills the streets of Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley.

Universal’s Holiday Parade is also a sight to see. It features characters from Despicable Me, Shrek, Madagascar, and more of your favourite Universal Studios films.

Of course, no Universal Studios holiday is complete without *The Grinch Who Stole Christmas*. At Universal’s Islands of Adventure, you can get together with the Whos and enjoy The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular.
