The 5 Tastiest, Most Instagrammable Outdoor Dining Spots in Miami

Dining outdoors is one of the best ways to take advantage of Miami’s climate, but we’re here to tell you that all patios are not created equal! A bit of insider knowledge can make the difference between a mediocre meal and an experience you won’t soon forget.

These five spots boast next-level, Instagram-worthy patios—with delicious food to match.

Gianni’s at the Villa

Located in the former Versace Mansion near the Miami Beach Architectural District, Gianni’s is totally over the top… in the best way. Savour an elegant Mediterranean menu next to a gold-tiled mosaic pool. Between the ornate neoclassical architecture, statues of Greek gods, and tapestries depicting scenes from mythology, you’ll find plenty of conversation starters here!

Vista

This “treehouse” restaurant in Upper Buena Vista features a rooftop patio circling the enormous, gnarled crown of a 50-year-old Banyan tree. Guests rave about Vista’s brunch menu: the French toast with berries is everything comfort food should be, especially when accompanied by a sunny mimosa. Lunch and dinner options feature farm-to-table produce and delicious, fresh cheeses.

Amara at Paraiso

Amara overlooks beautiful Biscayne Bay. Actually, “overlooks” isn’t quite the right word: the restaurant’s outdoor space was designed to merge seamlessly with the surrounding environment, meaning you can eat literally right at the water. This restaurant serves a number of fun Latin-inspired dishes, but the cream cheese-frosted coconut cake is what seems to turn visitors into regulars.

Tigre Miami

This is riverside dining done right. Just off Biscayne Boulevard, Tigre Miami offers a spacious outdoor patio along a canal. You’ll find a variety of modern takes on traditional Argentinian dishes, most of which feature seasonal local ingredients. The 36-hour beef ribs are sure to hit the spot if you’re after something meaty, but guests also rave about the delicately dressed heart of palm salad. Make time for some manatee-spotting in between courses–there’s a sanctuary in the canal!

Swan

David Grutman and Pharrell Williams paired up to create Swan. This restaurant’s courtyard is an elegant garden nestled under cascading trees. That, combined with a selection of beautifully plated, colorful dishes that look almost too good to eat, makes this a favourite spot for influencers. You’ll have trouble deciding what to order here! (Psst! Don’t stress–go for the lobster and shrimp sliders!).
