The Kentucky Derby is just around the corner.

2020 was just the second year in Kentucky Derby history that the event didn’t go down on the first Saturday in May—it was bumped to September due to the pandemic—but this year, we’re back to normal, with the big race falling on May 1 at Louisville’s famed Churchill Downs. This year will also see fans welcomed back to the track, with up to 45,000 people in attendance.

Those fans—and the ones watching on screens around the world—are in for a treat, as this year’s “Race for the Roses” features a competitive field of 20 horses.
